About: The Angel Compass Network hosted a spring kick-off event on May 19th for Sunrise Day Camp's SunriseWALKS on June 14, held on the Henry Kaufmann Campgrounds. The event was held at the Steelcase Showroom in New York City, with a beautiful terrace overlooking Columbus Circle. We honored Sloane Marcus, Angel Compass' Vice President who has fundraised for Sunrise for over 10 years. Sloane was diagnosed with a rare form of leukemia at the age of 13, on May 19th, 1982. Given a 20% chance for survival, she was treated for 3 years with chemo and radiation. Although she was given a 20% chance of survival, Sloane is now healthy and giving back today.
